PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feed roller preventing the surface from being worn by a long-time use and holding the initial transport force. SOLUTION: This sheet feed roller is provided with a roller body 10, a fixing ring 11 fitted around the outer circumference of the roller body 10, and a thin- plate ring 12 alternately fitted with the fixing ring 11 around the outer circumference of the roller body 10 and fixed by the fixing ring 11, a plurality of feed dogs formed around the outer circumferential edge of the thin-plate ring 12 are projected from the outer circumferential face 21 of the fixing ring 11, and the feed dogs generate a large frictional force in a space toward the sheet surface.
