PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energization device of a relatively simple constitution. SOLUTION: This probe arm includes a base plate member 10 which can be fixed to the surface of a machine tool, and a rotatable hub 12 to carry an arm member 16 with a probe (18 in drawing 1) for position regulation. The hub 12 has a part 22 provided with three protrusions (26 in drawing 2) along a radial direction which are rotated in a hole 24 in a base plate having three protrusions 30 along an inner radial direction. These protrusions 30, 26 form a restricting device at an actuation position and a non-actuation position in the probe 18. The hole 24 has three swollen parts 42 along an axial line direction on a circular protrusion 40 supporting a circular shoulder 44 on the hub 12. There are six contact points, therefore, between the hub 12 and the base plate member 10 at the actuation position and the non-actuation position. An energization device comprises a detent plate 46 fixed to the hole 24, and a planar spring 48 fixed to the hub 12 close to its central part.
