PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit wear caused by creeping and rusting caused by bedewing. SOLUTION: The rusting activating portions 1c, 1d, 2c, 2d, 1e and 2e of an inner ring 1 and an outer ring 2 which constitute a rolling bearing are formed with oxide films 5 to prevent rusting. The oxide films are composed chiefly of ferrous oxide and formed by leaving behind films of an oxide produced on the surfaces of material through heat treatment, without grinding them.
