PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an upper-surface indicator which is simple in construction, inexpensive in production cost, and superior in workability. SOLUTION: This upper-surface indicator is for use in indicating an upper surface of placed concrete of a reinforced concrete floor and is comprised of a pedestal portion fixed to a set location of a form or the like, a support rod erected vertically from the pedestal portion, a hollow flexible rod formed of a coil spring and fitted onto the support rod from an upper edge thereof in an axially movable manner while being in a fitted state, and an upper surface indicating portion arranged at an upper end of the flexible rod. The flexible rod has a clip portion, obtained by bending and deforming part of a wire constituting the flexible rod. The clip portion can selectively assume, through the operation from the outside, a closed position where the flexible rod is bound to the support rod, and an open position where the flexible rod can be moved axially along the support rod.
