PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out cutting work by a method for horizontally cutting a concrete structure under water by wire sawing, more easily and quickly than the conventional cutting methods which are carried out by driving a wedged spacer into a cut interval in order to maintain the cut interval, when cutting has proceeded to a certain extent. SOLUTION: Drilling at a cut interval 23 of a concrete structure 21 is carried out by driving a core drill 22 for rotation, the drill of which is constituted of a cylindrical main body detachably fixed to a shaft to be driven for rotation by a motor reducer, and diamond chips fixed to the front end of the main body. Then, the core drill 22 attached to the concrete structure 21 is left as is, and the weight of the concrete structure 21 is borne by the core drill 22. The attachment of the core drill 22 to the concrete structure 21 is facilitated by the drilling work, and when attached, it can make contact with the concrete structure with a wide contact area, whereby the number of the core drills 22 for use can be reduced, to thereby reduce workload.
