PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-pressure gas storage facility in which distortion concentration does not occur in airtight materials. SOLUTION: In this storage facility, by excavating the inside of a rock mass R to form a cavity 12 and covering the inner surfaces of the cavity 12 with airtight materials 13, a tank 14 for storing high-pressure gases is formed inside the airtight materials 13. Sand (granular materials) is filled between the airtight materials 13 and the rock mass R as back-filling materials 15.
