PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two weft insertion-preventing device for instantaneously and surely detecting the generation of the insertion of two wefts in a segment loom. SOLUTION: This device for preventing the insertion of two wefts in a bamboo blind loom is obtained by forming a discrimination weft guide 3 in a form capable of being divided into an upper discrimination piece 31 and a lower discrimination piece 39, controlling the diameter d2 of the exit of the discrimination weft guide 3 to such a size as permitting the penetration of only one weft (w), when the upper discrimination piece 31 and the lower discrimination piece 39 are integrally brought into contact with each other, integrally bringing the upper discrimination piece 31 and the lower discrimination piece 39 into contact with each other, when the weft (w) is inserted, separating the upper discrimination piece 31 from the lower discrimination piece 39 to largely open the exit, when a reed is beaten up, and disposing sensors 8a, 8b for detecting the abnormality of an inserted weft (w). Thereby, when two flying wefts are inserted, one of the wefts is certainly stopped in the discrimination weft guide 3, and the rear end of the weft is projected from the side end of the woven fabric. Thus, the piecing failure can spontaneously be detected with the detection sensor.
