PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner which can cool or heat air in a room in a state out fouling the air and losing the heat, does not necessitate the installation of an indoor unit to lower the cost of the machine and does not foul the air in the room even in a state closing the room. SOLUTION: This air conditioner comprising a heat exchange accumulator 2, an apparatus 3 for heating or cooling a heat medium received in the heat exchange accumulator 2, and a temperature controller 5 which is disposed above the heat exchange accumulator 2 and connected to the heat exchange accumulator 2 through a moisture-absorbing pipe 4, characterized by withdrawing one end of a heat exchange vent pipe 10 built in the heat exchange accumulator 2 to the outside of the heat exchange accumulator 2 and then connecting the end to a pipe 11 for returning the conditioning air, connecting the other end to the temperature controller 5, and circulating the conditioning air in the room through the above returning pipe 11 and a conditioning air-taking pipe 19 connected to the temperature controller 5.
