<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow fiber bundle module which is capable of holding hollow fibers nearly in a straight form, surely disposing gaps between the hollow fibers, intensifying the strength of the hollow fibers and uniformly dispersing cell carriers when animal cells are cultured outside the hollow fibers and a method for culturing the animal cells using the same. SOLUTION: The hollow fiber bundle module is constituted by arranging the plurality of hollow fibers in parallel to a state that nearly the straight shape can be maintained by suppressing their flexibility by fixing materials. The parallel fixing of the hollow fibers to the front surface or rear surface of the cloth-like fixing materials and the winding thereof to a roll form are equally well. This method for culturing the animal cells uses such hollow fiber bundle module. The hollow fibers which allow the passage of the culture solution are used as the hollow fibers and the animal cells are cultured by supplying the culture solution into these hollow fibers.</p> |
