PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a baby carrier for facing and forward facing infants by which an infant can be safely and comfortably held in both directions in which the infant faces a user and the infant faces forward. SOLUTION: This baby carrier comprises a carrier body 10 for accommodating the body of an infant and a mounting means 30 attached to the carrier body 10 to mount the carrier body on the body of a user. The carrier body 10 has at least a seat back part 11. Thus, the infant can be held in either state of a facing holding that the seat back part 11 abuts on the back face of the infant to hold the infant and a forward facing holding that the seat back part 11 abuts on the breast and abdomen of the infant to hold the infant. Further, a width narrowing means 50 is provided for reducing the width of a thigh support between the groin of both legs when the seat back part 11 is disposed in the forward facing state.
