PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such problems that long rolling time of a rolled stock between respective passes lowers material temperature largely, a large quantity of strain induced martensite at the edge parts of a coil is generated, which generates edge cracks and causes lowering of yield, and the necessity of unpressed substitute material increases the number of stages, in the case that a BA-finished austenitic stainless steel having high gloss is manufactured conventionally that is, cold rolling is executed for whole products with a reversing mill. SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method of the BA-finished stainless steel, after annealing and pickling a hot-rolled austenitic stainless steel strip, at the time of executing cold-rolling, cold-rolling with a reversing mill is executed as-unannealed after cold-rolling with a tandem mill.
