SOLUTION: Theβ-cyclogeranylarylsulfone of formula (2) is produced by treating a geranylarylsulfone of formula (1) [Ar is a (substituted)aryl] with an acid and carrying out the reaction while precipitating the reaction product in the form of crystal.
