PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pile band (called mohair) installed at the edge part of a window frame of an opening and closing window and a device and a method for manufacturing the pile band. SOLUTION: A tubular or a double-layer reinforced film is fitted closely on the surface of an endlessly rotating endless band, and then a rotatable hollow tube is passed through the reinforcing film. In this case, pile year fed from the hollow tube is wound on the endless band and reinforcing film. A plate like base band is adhered by an ultrasonic adhering device to the pile year passed through the hollow tube from both sides, and then cut off approximately at the center thereof. Thus, two pieces of pile bands having reinforcing film provided therein can be produced at the same time. Because a shearing process is not required, any damage is not given to the pile and dust and dirt are also less produced.
