PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding type cloth structure provided with a support member foldable into a coil-like shape and a method for folding the structure. SOLUTION: This folding type cloth structure has two wall members 2, 4. Each wall member has a frame 8 capable of being freely folded like a coil. When the structure is inflated, each frame forms a loop having a pair of opposing side parts. When the wall member is folded, each frame is folded into a coil shape composed of three loops. A long arch forming member 11 is provided to generate a separation force between two wall members, and the arch forming member has a pair of free ends 12, 13. Each of free ends is connected with one of two wall members. Preferably, the arch forming member is glass reinforced epoxy rod whose fibers are spirally wound on a surface thereof. The structure may have a shape of pyramid, a cube or a house for play.
