PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charnel house as a perpetual memorial service tomb capable of reducing the burden of construction, providing the durability, and laying many persons' ashes in the tomb irrespective of a small installation area. SOLUTION: A charnel room 5 is composed of a floor slab 14 made of PC concrete, a wall member, and a ceiling slab 15. The floor slab 14 and the ceiling slab 15 are formed by combining unit slabs having the same form (unit floor slab 18, unit ceiling slab 26). The wall member is composed of a front central wall 16, a rear door 11, and a wall slab 17, and the wall slab 17 is formed by combining unit wall slabs 28 having the same form. A circular hole 21 for scattering dead person's ashes may be provided on the floor slab, and a circular hole 21 for lighting may be provided on the ceiling slab 15. The floor slab 14 and the ceiling slab 15 may have the same configuration and be used mutually as both of them.
