<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a platemaking printer capable of reducing a holding power in a stand-by mode wherein platemaking operation or printing operation is not performed, and immediately performing the platemaking operation and the printing operation after image data is input, and its power source control system. SOLUTION: In the power source control system 12 of a platemaking printer 1, a route for supplying a power from a commercial power source 3 to a platemaking print control unit 15 and a route for supplying a power to an image data waiting unit 16 are separated, and the supply of the power from the unit 16 to the unit 15 by a power source control circuit 18 controlled from the unit 16 is controlled. When a platemaking operation or a printing operation is not executed, the supply of the power to the unit 15 is cut off, and a stand-by mode is set. The stand-by mode is eliminated when the image data from an external unit 2 is input to the unit 16, when a reset mode switch is closed or the like.</p> |
