PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ovicide composition for ectoparasite directly acting on eggs of ectoparasite, capable of inhibiting its hatching, having high safety to the human body and excellent stability of iodine. SOLUTION: This ovicide composition for ectoparasite is characterized in that the composition contains an iodine simple substance, a complex containing iodine or an inorganic compound containing an iodine atom.
