PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an installation member to be applied to a front mount type clamp cylinder of which the rod cover back surface is set as an installation surface to a fixed side member to be installed in a side mount type. SOLUTION: A cylinder tube 1 of a front mount type clamp cylinder is engaged in a tube receiving hole 53 in this installation member 50, and a rod cover 6 is coupled with the installation member 50 by use of a bolt hole 19 in the rod cover 6. A cylinder unit comprising a cylinder integrated with the installation member 50 is placed on a fixed side member 100, and it is fixed by a tightening screw 66 in the perpendicular direction to a piston rod 7 by use of the bolt hole 58 in the installation member 50, thereby it is fixed to the fixed side member 100 in a side mount type.
