PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparation of MTT structure type zeolite in which the crystal nuclei at least one zeolite material containing at least one element X' selected from silicon and germanium and at least one element T' selected from iron, aluminum, gallium, boron, titanium, vanadium, zirconium, molybdenum, arsenic, antimony, chromium and manganese and having an X'/T' ratio below 200 are used and these crystal nuclei are different from the crystal nuclei of the MTT structure type to be prepared. SOLUTION: The shortening the time of the crystallization of the zeolite MTT after the formation of the mixture is made possible and the attainment of the maximum yield of the pure material is made possible. Further, cost saving is resulted therefrom. The compositions of the reaction media extend over a wide range, by which an increase of flexibility is obtained.
