PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform ultrasonic imaging by use of a tissue Doppler method assuring sufficient quantitative determinability of motion evaluation, even if there is the probability that the entire tissue to be imaged, such as the heart, may move. SOLUTION: This ultrasonograph includes image pickup means 11 to 14 for scanning the cross section of a subject by use of the tissue Doppler method and ultrasonic signals to obtain information about the motion of the tissue as images. The ultrasonograph further includes scanning means 11 and 12 for scanning a desired part on the cross section by use of the ultrasonic Doppler method to obtain echo signals, Doppler signal extracting means 21 and 32 for extracting Doppler signals related to the motion of the tissue from the echo signals, motion information computing means 33 and 34 for computing the motion information from the Doppler signals, and display means 13, 15, 51, and 52 for displaying the motion information. |
