PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knock detecting device which can obtain a good knock pulse S/N even though kind and the like of fuel of a plug is changed and an ion current generating amount is changed. SOLUTION: This knock detecting device extracts a vibration component superposed on ion current generated by burning fuel, shapes a component having a knock detection threshold value or more into a pulse waveform, counts and arithematically processes the pulse numbers of the pulse waveform by an engine controlling means so as to calculate knock intensity and controls an ignition timing based on the knock intensity. This device is equipped with a knock detection threshold value regulating means 21 for changing the knock detection threshold value based on information on ion current. |
