PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform friction welding by stably fixing a long size and large structure part like a vehicle. SOLUTION: In a friction welding method utilizing frictional heat generated by inserting a rotary tool 1 made of a material essentially harder than that of a work to the weld zone of the work 2 and moving the rotary tool 1 while rotating it, the weld zone by the friction welding is melted by either heat source out of an arc, plasma or a laser beam.
