PRINT CONTROLLER, PRINTER, PRINT CONTROL METHOD, PRINTING METHOD, RECORDING MEDIUM, AND METHOD FOR SETTING COLOR CONVERSION TABLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print a good image by avoiding the occurrence of bronzing phenomenon. SOLUTION: Image data is converted temporarily into first gray scale data of basic color ink and after background color is removed, the first gray scale data is converted into second gray scale data of basic color ink and black color ink. A combination of gray scale data of basic color ink and black color ink, generating bronzing phenomenon when an image is printed on a print medium, is prestored as conditions generating bronzing phenomenon. A decision is then made whether conditions generating bronzing phenomenon are present or not in the second gray scale data based on the conditions generating bronzing phenomenon and a part of background color being removed is replaced by basic color ink if the conditions generating bronzing phenomenon are present thus printing out an image generating no bronzing phenomenon. The process can also be performed using a color conversion table.
