PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcement binding machine which automatically adjusts the feeding length of a wire and a binding force, dependent on the thickness of a reinforcement, and avoids waste in the consumption of the wire to be used and a period of time to be spent for binding, to thereby enhance binding efficiency. SOLUTION: There is provided a reinforcement binding machine, which feeds a binding wire b from a bent guide arm 1 arranged at the front end of a binding machine main body 5 to the periphery of reinforcements a so as to form a loop, and then twists a part of the loop. The reinforcement binding machine is comprised of a discriminating mechanism 10 arranged at the front end of the binding machine main body 5, to discriminating the diameter of each reinforcement a, and therefore the reinforcement binding machine can control the feeding length and the binding force of the wire b, based on the result of discrimination of the discriminating mechanism 10.
