PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arrangement and method for the pressure steam processing of filament yarns so designed that steam leakage via the filament yarn outlet/inlet is suppressed without damaging filament yarns, the atmosphere inside the arrangement is kept constant, the stable travel of filament yarns is secured, thereby high-quality filament yarns can be produced in high productivity. SOLUTION: This pressure steam processing arrangement (1) has such a scheme that labyrinth seal parts (3) are mounted in the front and rear of a pressure steam processing unit (2), respectively, and a plurality of filament yarns traveling in parallel to one another in a sheet-like fashion along a traveling path (5) are processed collectively in a pressure steam atmosphere, wherein the labyrinth seal parts (3) are so designed that labyrinth nozzles (3a) each made of plate piece extend rectangularly from the inner wall surface of the labyrinth seal parts (3) toward filament yarns in travel and are disposed in tiers (80-120 tiers) in the filament yarn traveling direction, and the ratio L/P stands at 0.3-1.2 (wherein, L is the extended length of each of the labyrinth nozzles (3a) from the above inner wall surface; and P is a pitch between the nozzles adjacent to each other).
