MECHANISM FOR PREVENTING ADHESION OF SOIL ON ROD CONVEYOR FRAME OF ROOT CROP HARVESTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the adhesion of soil and sand to a frame-connecting member of a rod conveyor of a root crop harvester. SOLUTION: An endless rod conveyor is extended between rotational engaging members of the right and left frames connected with a rod connection member and root crops dug out from soil are transferred on the rod conveyor. A plurality of ring or sleeve-formed cover members are rotatably put longitudinally on the inner rod-shaped connection member connecting the right and left conveyor frames. The cover member is preferably placed in a manner moving in contact with the return-side rod conveyor of the endless rod conveyor.
