SEISMIC ISOLATION BUILDING AND LOCK DEVICE THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lock device for a seismic isolation component capable of offering an excellent operation reliability and a sufficient lock state while utilizing the advantages of a granular body chamber type lock device. SOLUTION: This device comprises a chamber 3 provided at the foundation side almost filled up with steel balls 4, an anchor 5 entering between the steel balls 4 inside the chamber 3 when the anchor descends, which is installed in the superstructure side of the seismic isolation building in a manner permitting its up-and-down motion, and an actuator 6 making reciprocation motions between the descend position when the anchor 5 enters between the steel balls 4 in the chamber 3 at the fall position and rise position where the anchor 5 comes out from the steel balls 4 in the chamber 3, and a lid portion 14 covering the upper opening portion in the form of permitting the ingress of the anchor 5 into the chamber 3.
