PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shredder closing a door perfectly during the operation of a cutter motor or the like and stopping the cutter motor or the like when the door is opened intentionally or accidentally in the perfectly closed state. SOLUTION: A door lock means 23 operated by an electric current is provided to the door 9 of a shredder to be electrically connected to an electric circuit for driving a cutter motor 13 or a refuse leveling motor 12 and a door interlock switch 16 for cutting off a current in such as state that the door 9 of the shredder is opened is provided to the electric circuit of the cutter motor 13 or the refuse leveling motor 12 and the door lock means 13 is constituted so as to close the door when no current flows to the electric circuit of the cutter motor 13 or the refuse leveling motor 12 and to release the closure of the door when no current flows.
