A feminine hygiene product having an absorbent pad in a spheroidal shape is useful for absorbing fluids such as menses and urine released by the feminine urogenita l system. The product is deployed at the vaginal os and is held in place by lateral pressu re of the labia and surrounding body tissue. The product can be used alone or in conjunction with a separate, external pad. The novel feminine hygiene product is very comfortab le for the user.
