The balancing machine guide pedestal has a polygonal constant cross-section element collaborating with a motorised cylinder (12) below it. A lateral revolving plate (14) with a cutting edge (14') facing the pedestal and the cylinder (12) is also provided. The pedestal bar (10) has at least one non-driver follower (16) with a bottom flange facing the cylinder (12) of relatively larger diameter.
