metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: cup is used for casting of bloom billets of round, square and rectangular sections. It is provided with outlet channels positioned over perimeter in fan-shaped way, with their longitudinal axes shifted relative to longitudinal axis of inlet channel. Shift makes up 0.30-0.70 of channel diameter. Total cross-sectional area of outlet channels at their input makes up 1.2-2.3 of inlet channel cross-sectional area. Cup outlet channels are either of constant cross-sectional area or the latter is widened in direction of metal feed. Longitudinal axes of channels are arranged in plane forming angle of 30 deg maximum with plane perpendicular to cup longitudinal axis. Invention may be used for production of billets up to 600 mm in diameter and up to 200-500x200-500 mm in cross-section. EFFECT: reduced content of nonmetal admixtures and gas bubbles. 4 cl, 5 dwg |
