SUBSTANCE: automatic lathe for performing high-accuracy operations of lengthwise-profile turning, working central openings, cutting thread and others in elongated cylindrical articles includes frame with movable spindle headstock, rest in the form of spring-loaded collet chuck mounted in support strut and kinematically joined with mechanism for controlling rest, loading apparatus joined with frame and having receiving device in the form of tube. Automatic lathe is also provided with pressure arm for kinematically joining collet chuck with mechanism for controlling rest, said mechanism has pneumatic cylinder for adjusting working gap. Rod of said pneumatic cylinder supports with possibility of free sliding motion pneumatic cylinder for keeping zero gap. The last is forced to above mentioned arm by means of spring. In piston of pneumatic cylinder for adjusting working gap there is pneumatic cylinder for opening tie bar of rest. Piston rod of pneumatic cylinder for opening tie bar of rest has stop acting upon pressure arm. Rest is arranged on body of movable spindle headstock. Loading apparatus includes hopper and agitator. In front of spindle on receiving device there is flange with union for supplying air to chamber for blowing off blanks from nozzle. Chamber and nozzle are formed by joined surfaces of flange and end of receiving device. The last has traps and draining openings for removing contamination. Diameter of flange opening is selected equal to maximum diameter of opening formed by collet chuck of rest. EFFECT: enlarged manufacturing possibilities, enhanced operational conditions. 3 dwg
