摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a demodulation method and a demodulation device of data, which precisely demodulate recording information even if a peak shift exists in a reading signal waveform and can considerably reduce misreading. SOLUTION: Data for one character is formed by a prescribed number of bits of binary data formed of two types of high and low frequency modulation signals. The presence or absence of a peak point is detected from the reproduced signal waveform of a recorded data signal and binary data is read. The time interval of the respective peaks of the reproduced signal waveform is measured. Each interval value constitution one character is compared with a reference value, and converted into a bit array constituted of binary data, and when demodulating data for one character, plural segment length candidates which are to be demodulated are selected with a reference segment length and a peak position as the reference with respect to the reference segment length corresponding to the data interval for one character. The segment length candidate is pattern-matched with reference waveform data and the corresponding character is judged by similarity.
