PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of executing rotational transformation processing of image data without increasing the capacity of a virtual page memory data retaining buffer in the printer provided with a virtual page memory storing the image data and the virtual page memory data retaining buffer for temporarily storing data for read and write in a storage device. SOLUTION: This printer provided with the virtual page memory and the virtual page memory data retaining buffer is provided with a divided data rotating means (steps S302, S303), which reads the image data for a sheet of printing paper by each part and transforms the array of this partial image data so as to rotate a printing position on the printing paper to send to the virtual page memory data retaining buffer, and a divided data writing means (step S304) for writing the image data in the virtual memory by varying the array of the image data within the virtual page memory data retaining buffer so as to rotate the whole image data on the printing paper. |
