PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission system that can relieve a load of a controller in a network such as an IEEE1394 system that requires the controller. SOLUTION: The transmission system where a sender device 51 connected to a prescribed network transmits data to a destination device 52 connected to the network, is provided with a 1st device 53 having a control section that makes a request to other device for connection management on the network for data transmission when receiving an instruction of the data transmission from the sender device 51 or the destination device 52 and with a 2nd device 60 having a control section tat executes the connection management for the data transmission on the basis of the request from the 1st device 53.
