PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a surface reflection caused on the interface between the air and a cover 1 which is applied on a liquid crystal panel 10 to protect the panel 10, and to improve the visibility of the liquid crystal panel 10. SOLUTION: An antireflection film to prevent surface reflection is applied on at least one surface of the cover 1. When the liquid crystal panel 10 is a reflection type, the transmittance T (λ) of the cover 1 for light at wavelength λ, the reflectance R (λ) of the liquid crystal panel 10 for light at wavelength λ, and any wavelength ϕ selected from the region between 500 nm and 600 nm satisfy the relation of 0.7η T2(λ)×R (λ)}/ T2(ϕ)×R(ϕ)}<=1.3, wherein λis 450 nm<=λ<=650 nm. |
