PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste plastic combustion burner for an arc furnace capable of effectively utilizing the heat obtained by the combustion of the plastic in the burner for melting scraps by improving the combustion ratio of the plastic while utilizing the plastic of an economic size of about several mm to over ten mm. SOLUTION: In the waste plastic combustion burner for an arc furnace, an oxygen channel 13 for cutting scraps is provided at a center of a burner block 10, a fuel channel 11 and a fuel combustion oxygen channel 12 are provided at its outer periphery, a combustion cylinder 14 is provided between the front end of the block 10 and the wall of the furnace, and a waste plastic blowing port 15 is provided in the cylinder 14 so as to blow the plastic to the space formed of an oxygen flow 17 for cutting the scraps and a flame 16 of a high temperature formed by the fuel 18 around the flow 17 and the oxygen 19.
