PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the incorrectness in noise removal by suppressing the influence of a correlation between speech and noise in a spectrum area without decrease in time resolution. SOLUTION: Since speech varies with time, the time resolution is decreased if a processing interval is too long. Therefore, as shown in the lower section, the processing interval is made to a half of the case in the upper section, that is, a frame length is made to 128 points and a frame period is made to 64 points. In such a manner, smoothing for three frames corresponds to an analysis length of one frame before the frame length is halved, and hence the decrease in time resolution does not occur. However, unless any measures are taken except halving the frame length and frame period, the speech recognition device has to perform the recognition processing at a double frequency, thus increasing the processing load on the device. Therefore, the device is arranged so as to perform smoothing every two times. In such a manner, the speech recognition device may perform recognition processing at a conventional frequency. |
