PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to efficiently perform speech communication by improving the convenience of handsets in a telephone terminal device provided with a plurality of handsets. SOLUTION: The device is provided with the plurality of handsets 8-1-1 and 8-1-2, at least one button 8-4-1 to 8-4-P performing a transmission or incoming call response operation, a 1st displaying means which shows that speech communication is performed with the handset 8-1-1 and a 2nd displaying means which shows that speech communication is performed with the handset 8-1-2 when the speech communication is performed with the handsets 8-1-1 and 8-1-2.
