PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramics ring for holding disk, which has less particle shedding, prevents the adhesion of contaminant such as a particle shedding material and a peeled plating layer and can precisely write and reproduce information into/from a disk substrate without destroying recording information in the disk substrate. SOLUTION: The ceramics ring 1 for holding disk is sandwiched and arranged between disk substrates for information recording, which are laminated/arranged. The ceramics ring is formed of a sintered body where alumina, iron oxide, feldspar material and glass whose composition is similar to feldspar material are mixed and sintered. The content of alumina in the sintered body is desirable to be 40 to 75 wt.% and feldspar material or glass whose composition is similar to feldspar material to be not more than 35 wt.%. |
