PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas analysis method and device for simultaneously detecting nitrogen oxide NOx and ammonium NH3 in gas to be measured in real time. SOLUTION: The gas analysis method includes a first nitrogen oxide detection process for oxidizing ammonium in gas to be measured for converting to nitrogen oxide by bringing the gas to be measured containing the nitrogen oxide and ammonium into contact with an NH3 strong oxidation catalyst, and for detecting the total amount of the converted nitrogen oxide and nitrogen oxide existing in the gas to be measured, a second nitrogen oxide detection process for converting one portion of ammonium in the gas to be measured for converting to nitrogen oxide by bringing the gas to be measured into contact with an NH3 weak oxidation catalyst, and for detecting the total amount of the converted nitrogen oxide and nitrogen oxide in the gas to be measured, and a process for calculating the amount of nitrogen oxide in the gas to be measured and/or the amount of ammonium according to two detection values obtained in the first and second nitrogen oxide detection processes. |
