PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component-mounting apparatus which can allow a plurality of moving units having suction nozzles to travel on the same guide independently and at a high speed and prevent them from collision. SOLUTION: This component mounting apparatus is provided with a component suction unit 34, and is also provided with a plurality of moving units 28, supported independently and movably by the same X-direction guide 30. In addition, a first distance detecting means 63 for detecting the distance between the adjacent moving units and a second distance detecting means 65 for detecting a smaller distance than that detected by the first detection means are provided to the prescribed moving units. If the distance cannot be detected by both means, the moving unit 28 is moved at a high speed, and if the first means 63 detects the distance, the moving unit is moved at a medium speed, and then if the second means 65 detects it, the moving unit is stopped or is moved at a low speed, thereby preventing the moving units of the component- mounting device from collision. |
