PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for setting and obtaining plural pieces of appropriate control data calculated and predicted by software for the control of hardware without depending on the control timing of software in a hard disk device. SOLUTION: A hard disk device having a recording medium for recording information therein, an apparatus for recording information in the recording medium and an apparatus for reproducing information from the recorded medium is constituted of hardware and software, which control the operation of the recording medium, the operation of the apparatus for recording information and the operation of the apparatus for reproducing information. Plural pieces of control data calculated and predicted by software for controlling hardware are set in hardware. The recording medium or the recording apparatus or the reproducing apparatus is controlled from arbitrary control data which is set in plural arbitrary times which are set from a clock incorporating hardware.
