PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily estimate an erroneous position. SOLUTION: A signal reproducing device is provided with a signal processing part 3 controlling an output level of a regenerative signal from an amplifier 2 to a fixed level based on a gain control signal, a decoder 4 correcting the error of the regenerative signal data based on an erasure pointer set by a microcomputer 5 and decoding the data by the error correction and a microcomputer 5 monitoring the gain control signal outputted from the signal processing part 3, comparing the gain control signal with a threshold value and deciding the setting position of the erasure pointer. Then, the microcomputer 5 changes the threshold value level until the error correction by the erasure pointer is made optimally.
