PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compensate a transfer function sin (x)/x proper to a D/A converter in a modulation system for a television signal. SOLUTION: A digital remodulation system includes a digital/analog (D/A) converter having an undesirable inherent frequency response sin (x)/x. A remodulated digital signal is a high frequency and then, does not contribute to sin (x)/x precorrection ahead of D/A conversion. These device 202 and method precorrect the sin (x)/x roll-off of a D/A converter 104 in a digital signal path before a digital modulator 204 preceding the converter 104. The device 202 is cascaded, corresponds to a spectrally symmetrical and asymmetrical transversal filter and compensates a relatively small part of a frequency response of an analog signal generated as a result. |
