<p>The hybrid refrigeration unit has between the two heat exchanging surfaces (4,2) a controlled diverter (12) which, when it is open, permits a part of the water having traversed the dry heat exchange surfaces (4) to pass over the moist heat exchange surfaces (2), to cause them to function only partially. The moist heat exchange surfaces are provided by a liquid film, sprayed from above. When the diverter is opened the effect of the water spray is reduced so the spray reaches only part (between 30% and 70%) of the surface. The diverter has a motorised valve that is operated in fully-open or fully-closed mode.</p> |
