The castor wheel (1) for a hand trolley has a sprung vertical castoring axle (7) extending from the top of the stirrup (3) retaining the wheel into the frame of the trolley. The axle is sprung mounted to allow it to tilt at a set loading of the trolley. The tilt causes the top edge of the stirrup to engage in a seating on the underside of the trolley to lock it in place.
