PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the optical output of a laser diode in a stable state by using a member having reflectivity similar to that of an optical disk to correct an optical output, thereby eliminating trial writing carried out using the trial writing area of a conventional optical disk surface. SOLUTION: This optical disk device for reading/writing data by irradiating an optical disk 10 with a laser beam with an optical pickup 12 is provided with a reflection member 13 having reflectivity roughly equal or equal to the reflectivity of the recording surface of the optical disk 10 and a control unit 15 for moving the optical pickup 12 to the reflection member 13 before data reading/writing, radiating a laser beam for trial, obtaining an optical output necessary for reading/writing, and executing actual reading/writing by using the optical output. |
