SOLUTION: In a valve chamber 32 of the housing 11 of a plunger pump, a spring part 38 for energizing a ball 33 to abut on a valve seat 35 and supporting the ball 33 between an abutting position on the valve seat 35 and a spaced position from the valve seat 35 is integrally formed at a retainer 34 for retaining the ball 33 in the valve chamber 32 through the spring part 38.
