<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical shutter element having a small shape, having such a construction that a uniform electric field can be applied to the full light transmitting region of a ceramic material having an electrooptical effect, low in driving voltage and easily manufacturable. SOLUTION: The optical shutter element is characterized by having plural slits in which metal electrodes are formed at a terminal part of a ceramic plate with the electroopical effect and by transmitting light through parts held between the electrodes. The optical shutter element is provided with a heating device.</p> |
